INDEPENDENCE CHARTER
Why SAA is built as a standards-setter — and the commitments that keep it neutral, verifiable, and independent.

Mission
SAA Alliance exists to be an independent foundational layer for institutional risk-compute. The platform sits beside the systems institutions already operate — Aladdin, Bloomberg, Murex, MSCI, and internal Monte Carlo engines — as a neutral challenger that independently recomputes and evidences their results. It does not replace incumbent platforms, and it does not compete with its customers.
The company is not built to be acquired, white-labelled, or absorbed. Its purpose is the standard itself: these are the people who know how to compute; their stack is the calculation benchmark.
The Neutrality Model
SAA’s reference points are organisations whose mechanism of neutrality shaped an industry. Each analogy is cited honestly, with its limits stated.
ARM — Licensing Neutrality
One architecture licensed to every competing manufacturer. The analogy holds for the licensing model — not for ownership history, which is stated plainly.
LLVM — Open Infrastructure
Foundational tooling adopted by every major vendor precisely because no single vendor owns the methodology.
ISDA — Protocol Authority
Standards adopted industry-wide because they are documented, public, and independently governed.
TSMC — Never Compete With Customers
A neutral foundry with no own-brand product. SAA adopts the principle: customers’ books are the validation target — SAA holds no trading book.
Evidence, Not Assertion
A standard is accumulated, independently verifiable evidence. SAA’s evidence base is public and ladder-able to its source:
Commitments
Deterministic numbers. Every numerical output — valuations, VaR, CVaR, ES, scenarios, verdicts — is computed by the deterministic math kernel. Language models are restricted to narrative prose and can be disabled without loss of core functionality. Zero per cent AI in numbers.
Open methodology. The method is published, including its limitations and failure modes. Disclosure of weakness is a feature of the standard, not a marketing risk.
No exclusivity. SAA grants no exclusive licences and does not white-label the kernel under any single vendor’s brand.
Multi-customer neutrality. No single customer relationship may structurally control the company’s scientific agenda.
Vendor independence. Kernel correctness is substrate-portable — validated from a commodity ARM CPU to multi-GPU clusters. Partnership never becomes dependency.
Refusal over degradation. The platform refuses to publish a verdict that fails its evidence and reconciliation gates. The same discipline governs the company: independence is not traded for speed.
Governance of Independence
Independence is not a slogan; it is governed. Founder control of the scientific agenda is structurally protected, the methodology remains on the public record, and any strategic proposal is tested against three questions: does the open methodology survive; does multi-customer neutrality survive; does independent governance of the science survive. Proposals that fail these tests are declined.
